The result viewing portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is showing completely different results from what the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced for the Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers State.
Obio-Akpor is the local government of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who expressed sympathy for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the poll.
Recall that Obio-Akpor collation officer for the presidential election, Charles Adias, after alleging a threat to his life, announced that Tinubu scored the majority of votes in the local government with 80,239 votes, followed by Labour Party flagbearer, Peter Obi, who polled 3,829 votes while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, got 368 votes.

But TheNiche analysis of the results uploaded by INEC on the IREV portal shows that Obi won the majority of the polling units in the local government.
In Oro-Igwe ward which has 63 polling units, Obi came top with a wide margin. It was the same feat in Rumuodara with 53 polling units and Rumuodomaya.
Also on IREV, there are cases of polling unit agents in Obio-Akpor transmitting letters on the portal addressed to the INEC chairman complaining that their polling units had no presidential election results.
The PDP and LP have already rejected the results of the February 25 presidential election, alleging widespread rigging, especially because INEC failed to transmit the results of the poll 48 hours after it was held.
INEC on March 1 announced Bola Tinubu of APC winner with 8,794,726 votes, followed by Atiku (6,984,520), and Obi (6,101,533).
