Internet users were treated to cyber consternation on Friday as Marvel Studios released their trailer for the Avengers Franchise called Avengers Endgame.
Endgame is a 2019 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Avengers, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In the film, the surviving members of the Avengers and their allies work to reverse the damage caused by Thanos in Infinity War.
But in order to promote the film, Marvel asked users to Google Thanos.
Immediately you type Thanos on the Google search bar, a hand appears on the right side of the search. Click on the hand and watch half of your search result dissolves into dust with a horror-like sound at the background.
On Friday alone, Google has recorded over fifty million searches on Thanos.
Social media users have been relishing the effect on the internet with many saying it is an amazing marketing gimmick my Marvel.
