Inter Milan vice-president and former Argentina international, Javier Zanetti has praised three football coaches while identifying the best managers across all the European leagues during the just concluded 2022/23 campaign.
According to him, treble winning Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, who won the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions (UCL) league, a feat that was last achieved by Man United in 1999, is one of them.
Zanetti, who played as a defender for Inter Milan during his playing days also picked Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti, saying he is “wise and quiet” despite losing the La Liga title to Barcelona and crashing out of UCL at the semi-final stage.

He went on to name former Napoli coach, Luciano Spalletti, as one of his top three best coaches last season for leading Napoli to win the Serie A title after 33 years of wait.
Picking his best tacticians for last season, Zanetti said: “Pep Guardiola managed to win the Treble despite a Champions League Final in which Simone Inzaghi was very good at a tactical level.
“Then Carlo Ancelotti, always very wise and quiet, and Luciano Spalletti for what he did with Napoli.”
