The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is set to hold supplementary election in the states where result of the governorship elections were tagged inconclusive.
The governorship election and house of assembly elections were held on Saturday, March 9, but the INEC said the supplementary poll would be held for the six states that their results are not out yet on March 23.
They are Adamawa, Bebue, Bauchi, Kano, Plateau and Sokoto states.
The INEC National Commissioner and chairman in charge of voter education and information committee, Festus Okoye said in a statement on Tuesday, March 12, that the supploementary poll had become necessary due to various complaints ranging from discontinuation of the use of smart card readers midway of failure to deploy them at all, over voting and disruption of elctoral process, among others.
