INEC releases results from 8 states including FCT, as Jega goes on break

The National Results Collation Centre in Abuja, has so far released results from eights states and the FCT.

The states are : Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo, , Kogi, Enugu, Nasarawa and FCT. The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Attahiru Jega, however announced that he would proceed on break to allow results from more states to get to the centre.

According to him, results from 18 more states have been collated and the Returning Officers on their way to Abuja. Consequently, he announced that they will reconvene by 8.00 pm to take the remaining states.
