The people of Kolokuma /Opokuma Local Government Area have continued  to eulogize what they termed “unprecedented and uncommon show of love that has been exhibited by Governor Seriake Dickson for the numerous infrastructural facilities” he has cited in their land.

In separate interviews and speeches, the member representing Yenagoa/ Kolokuma/ Opokuma Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Douye Diri, said that since the inception of civilian government in the state no governor has been so benevolent and magnanimous to Kaiama and by extension Kolokuma/ Opokuma Local Area like the citing of numerous projects that were conceived and completed in their land.

Douye Diri, who is the immediate Principal Secretary to the Bayelsa State governor, who cited three boarding  schools – the Ijaw National Academy , the Kaiama Grammar School and the Kaiama Girls Grammar School – naming the road  to Ijaw National Academy after the late  Professor Kay Williamson and the Sports Institute at Asoama, all of which have added value to the communities.

He  said that he would eternally remain grateful to the governor.

According to the Representative of Kolokuma/ Opokuma Local Government Area, Chief Ekpein Appah, applauded and poured encomium on the governor for the construction of a road to Isaac Boro Town, where also a modern hospital is cited and a permanent orientation camp for the National Youths Service Corps sited. All of these were done to immortalize the legendary late Isaac Adaka  Jasper Boro who led the 12-day revolution to emancipate the Niger Delta  Region from oppression and marginalization by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Also commending and appreciating the state governor is the president of a group under aegis of Kolokuma /Opokuma Mandate Assembly who said that he decided to mobilize the youths of the local government to demonstrate their solidarity and gratitude to the governor for citing the Ijaw National Academy and other infrastructure in their area, stressing that the youths pledged their loyalty and commitment to the Restoration government.

He also assured the state government that  the youths will guide, protect and secure the infrastructure.
