Bandit kingpin asks distraught father to pay N100 million if he wants to see his child again. The father told him to kill the child instead

A father who tried to reason with a bandit during a negotiation for the release of his kidnapped child, gave up further talks and told the bandit to kill the child instead, according to details of an audio file obtained by TheNiche.
The audio file was a recorded phone conversation between a bandit and a distraught father whose child has been in bandit captivity at the time of the distressing negotiation. It was shared by the publisher of Daily Nigerian, Jafar Jafar, on his Facebook Wall.
The conversation, in Hausa language, opens with the father of the kidnapped child appealing to a man who was holding his child hostage to accept N13 million in exchange for his child. He said he has been able to secure additional N1 million to add to the N12 million he initially offered for the release of his child.
He said because of the Christmas holiday, it was difficult to get money from anybody. He added that the N1million was the only cash he could get to add to the N12 million he initially offered. At this point the bandit negotiator became angry, and asked the father of the kidnapped child how much he was asked to pay. The father responded politely saying N30 million. “Who told you to pay N30 million? Who had that conversation with you? You’re stupid,” the bandit chided the father whose child has been in captivity.
The father of the kidnapped apologised, and even used a revered Fulani title of Modibbo to address the bandit. He asked for help from his tormentor, the bandit. But the bandit continued: “You are to pay N100 million if you want to see your child.”
On hearing N100 million, the father of the kidnapped child lost his cool and went on the offensive. He told the bandit: ” You are a bastard. Kill him. If you fail to kill him you are a bastard. Useless man,” he said. And that was the end of the recording.
It is not clear what has become the fate of the kidnapped child after his father railed against the bandit kingpin .
