Deacon Iheanyichukwu Echewodo, the founder, Fountain of Joy Outreach Ministry; and Public Relations Officer, Vote Okezie Again (VOA) Umuahia North Local Govternment Area constituency, is optimistic that the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, will clinch his second term victory given his achievement record.

Also he said that re-electing Ikpeazu in 2019 would complete the tradition in the state where every zone produces governor for two terms of four years each.

Echewodo told TheNiche in a telephone interview that Ikpeazu has greatly improved on the performance of his predecessor, Theodore Orji, whom he said was the architect of modern Abia.

He said Ikpeazu has delivered democracy dividends to the joy of all Abians, insisting that his record of achievements will “campaign for his re-election having delivered most of his promises”.

The grassroots mobilizer said that Ikpeazu has improved records in all sectors.

His words:  “Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has never neglected any sector; rather, he gives serious attention on all sectors”.

Echewodo pointed out that Ikpeazu has done creditably on agriculture, education, health services, empowerment projects, infrastructural provisions, transportation, and road construction and maintenance among others.

It would be recalled that VOA was launched to ensure the re-election of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu in 2019.

The organization has coordinators and executive in all the wards and local government areas of the state. It also has a state executive with Elder Godwin Nna as its Director General.

The tradition of second term started when Abia North Senatorial zone produced Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu as governor for eight years between 1999 and 2007.

This was followed when Abia Central Senatorial Zone produced Chief Theodore Ahamefule Orji as governor also for eight years between 2007 and 2015.

It was the same tradition that was followed when Abia South Senatorial zone produced Okezie Ikpeazu as governor in 2015.

VOA, according to Echewodo, is “to work for the realisation of a tradition, second term tradition also set”.
