IGP said redeployment was in line with his manpower development policy of fitting the right persons into appropriate roles

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba has ordered the posting and redeployment of Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) to departments, commands, and formations across the country.
This was made known in a statement made available by Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who said the development was in line with the IGP’s manpower development policy of fitting the right persons into appropriate roles.
The statement reads: ”In pursuant to the strategic policy, the following senior police officers are posted and redeployed; AIGs Zone 14 Katsina -AIG Ahmed Abdulrahman, Police Mobile Force – AIG Ibrahim Sani Ka’oje, mni, Special Protection Unit – AIG.Matthew Akinyosola, mni, Zone 12 Bauchi-AIG Sylvester Abiodun Alabi, fdc, Maritime Lagos- AIG Yekini Adio Ayoku, psc(+), mni, Zone 13 Ukpo Dunukofia – AIG Olofu Tony Adejoh, Zone 7 Abuja-AIG Aliyu Garba, ICT FHQ Abuja-AIG Idris Dabban Dauda, fdc, Research & Development – AIG Yusuf Ahmed Usman, Zone 4 Makurdi – AIG Haladu M. Ros-Amson, fdc, Zone 8 Lokoja-AIG Babatunde B. Ishola, Counter Terrorism Unit – AIG Alexander N. Wannang and Zone 2 Lagos -AIG Ari M. Ali.

The statement further disclosed that the posting was with immediate effect.
IGP went on to charge all newly posted and redeployed officers to put their best foot forward in ensuring that the activities of their new commands, formations, and departments align with the “Police Reform” mandate.
