IGP mourns Goodluck Jonathan’s former ADC Moses Jitoboh

Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has joined in mourning the retired AIG Bola Longe and retired DIG Moses Jitoboh.
Longe died on Sunday, December 22, while Jitoboh passed on in the early hours of Friday, December 27, 2024, after a brief illness.
Jitoboh was former Aide-de-Camp to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan. Jitoboh was Jonathan’s ADC while the latter was governor of Bayelsa State and also when he was vice president.
He remained in Jonathan’s security team when the latter became president.

In a statement on Saturday issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IG said Longe and Jitoboh’s contributions to the Force and dedication to service can never be forgotten.
Egbetokun said that their death is a great loss, not only to their families but to the entire Nigeria Police Force. He, therefore, extended his sincere condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.
The statement added, “Retired DIG Moses Jitoboh served as the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Information & Communications Technology (ICT), Force Headquarters, before his retirement in 2023, while retired AIG Bola Longe had served as the CP Nasarawa State, and as the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Federal Operations, Force Headquarters Abuja, before his retirement in 2021.
“Their contributions to the Nigeria Police Force, dedication to service, and integrity can never be forgotten. The passing of these officers is a great loss, not only to their families but to the entire Nigeria Police Force.
“On behalf of all the officers of the Nigeria Police Force, the IGP extends his sincere condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of late Rtd. DIG Moses Jitoboh and Pastor Bola Longe (AIG Rtd.), praying for solace during this difficult time and praying that their souls rest in peace.”
