Igbokwe suggested that President Bola Tinubu has already won the 2027 presidential election, even before it has been conducted.

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has told leading opposition figures nursing presidential ambitions for 2027 that pursuing such aspirations would amount to “an exercise in futility”.
He gave the advice on Tuesday in a Facebook post, noting that such an adventure would be a waste of their time and resources.
His counsel followed expressions of interest in the election from former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Governor of Anambra State Peter Obi, and the immediate past Minister of Transport and former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi.

Speaking in the now-trending post, Igbokwe suggested that President Bola Tinubu has already won the 2027 poll before it has even been conducted.
He further urged those considering pursuing their presidential dreams through opposition parties to “look and think deeply” before taking such a step.
”I will advise the PDP, ADC, Labour Party and others not to waste their precious gift of time, hard-earned money, strength, energy and power to dream about the 2027 Presidential Elections,” Igbokwe wrote.
He added: “It will be an exercise in futility. PBAT has taken it. Look deep, think deep.”
