If APC wants my advice they have to ask nicely as they didn’t pay my school fees, says Jimoh Ibrahim

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim (Ondo South) has taken a swipe at his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that if it wants his advice it has to ask nicely.

Ibrahim, who contested the APC governorship primary election in Ondo, stated this during an interview on Channels Television on the topic ‘Tinubu’s Presidency: Huge Debt Burden and Way Forward’.

“You are a member of the APC, shouldn’t you be offering some of this knowledge that you have to your party?” the show’s host asked.

Ibrahim retorted, “Did APC pay my school fees? Did they come to meet me in Cambridge when I was suffering, riding a bicycle, booking private jets, falling three times on a bicycle, and crying at night?”

The interviewer further asked, “Why are you a party member? What was the essence of you going into politics?”

Ibrahim responded, “It doesn’t matter. I will give my knowledge. But, you can’t force me to share my knowledge. You have to be appreciative. You need to come to me and ask, and give me respect, then I will share the knowledge. If you don’t want to do that, even if you are my son, I will not give you. It (knowledge) is not easy to come by.”

Ibrahim was recently suspended by party officials in the Igbotako Ward 2 of Okitipupa Local Government Area over alleged anti-party activities and insubordination.

The party frowned at the lawsuit Ibrahim filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja to nullify the April 20 governorship primary election which incumbent Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa won.
