Pundit and ex-Arsenal striker, Ian Wright has predicted that his former club’s summer signing, Kai Havertz will cause a lot of problems for opposition teams this season.

Arsenal secured the services of Havertz from arch-rivals, Chelsea this summer transfer window, but even though he arrived as a player with a lot of Premier League experience, many fans doubt his ability to improve the team.

The German before his move from West London to North London, made 139 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 32 goals and providing 15 assists across competitions for the Blues.

Speaking on how he will be used by Mikel Arteta, Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, told Premier League Productions that Havertz has the ability to play in several positions and wreak havoc in several opposition boxes.

He said: “I have seen that we have played him up front and we have played him back into the midfield,”

“I believe that somebody like Kai Havertz, you mention Thomas Partey, you can have two number eights. You can have Kai Havertz as one if you want or Declan Rice.

“You can play him a little deeper or you can play him in that little bit advanced role. Obviously, we don’t need him as a number nine. But I know that he is somebody that, if he can crash the box, then I believe he will cause a lot of problems for teams”.
