Ian Wright predicts Man United ‘ll beat Tottenham at Old Trafford

discussing the likely winner of Sunday’s EPL encounters on the ‘Stick to Football’ podcast

Former Arsenal striker, Ian Wright has said Manchester United will edge past Tottenham Hotspur in this weekend’s English Premier League (EPL) clash at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils welcome Spurs on Sunday, September 29, as both teams look to climb up the EPL table after an inconsistent start.

Both Man United and Tottenham are currently in 11th and 10th positions respectively on the log table after picking up seven points each after five league games.

While the North London outfit came from behind to beat Brentford 3-1 in their last league outing and defeated Qarabag 3-0 in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Manchester United played out a 1-1 draw with FC Twente in the UEFA Europa League and that followed a 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace in the league.

Despite Spurs’ better showing in the last two games, however, Ian Wright believes Ten Hag’s men will beat Ange Postecoglou’s side  2-1 at Old Trafford.

Speaking on the likely winner of the encounter while featuring on the ‘Stick to Football’ podcast, the Arsenal legend, said, “I think United will beat them. Let’s go 2-1.”
