One of the housemates of Big Brother Naija season 6, “Shine Ya Eye” edition, Cross, has revealed he has a medical condition known as dyslexia, and believes everyone is smarter than him.

Dyslexia, is a general term for disorders that involve difficulty in learning to read or interprete words, letters and other symbols, but does not affect general intelligence.

Cross made this disclosure while discussing with Angel after a heated argument he had with Nini in the bathroom area of the house during the week.

Nini, in a fit of rage, told Cross he has a small brain and that he is the dumbest person in the house.

Cross, who had earlier exchanged words with Nini, became emotional and started crying after hearing what she said.

Angel, who saw how sad he was, later walked up to him to console him. He thereafter, told her that Nini, was right about him.

According to him, he has dyslexia , and just like Nini noticed despite trying so hard to hide his medical condition, has always felt almost everyone is smarter than him.

“I’m not crying because of what she said to me, though it hurts me. I’m crying because you said I’m not all of these things.

“I don’t like how I’m feeling, I’m messed up right now. I know a lot of people are smarter than me. I have dyslexia.

“Nine out of ten people are smarter than me academically. I’m 31-year-old and most part of my life I tried as much as possible to get by academically. I didn’t know I was dyslexic till my cousin pointed it out and it’s sad to see that part of me, but that’s life.” He said.

Cross has since made several attempts to settle with Nini, by apologizing to her, but all his overtures have fallen on deaf ears.

He is however likely to be making these efforts, because he is up for eviction and therefore trying to avoid any action that could jeopadise his continuous stay in the house.
