On January 24th, in the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) camp based in Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, Philippines, the Monument to the Declaration of World Peace was established aspiring to the cessation of wars in Mindanao and the achievement of world peace.
Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, the Chairman of MILF who has been working together with Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), showed his strong will with marching on the peace works as well as to instill peace spirit not only in Mindanao, but also in the Philippines and all over the world.
The monument presents a world map inscribed with the Declaration of World peace, proclaimed by Man Hee Lee, the Chairman of HWPL, on May 25th, 2013. The declaration was proclaimed in the Peace Plaza, Seoul, Republic of Korea, appealing to the beloved leaders to work first for the prevention of the youths from wars and the cessation of wars to leave peace as a legacy to the future generations. On its back, as a memorial message for the construction, the word of support in ‘the Implementation of an International Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts’ is recorded.
The Monument to the Declaration of World Peace was erected only after 7 months decommissioning and January 24th of each year was established as the HWPL Day. It is for MILF to promise future cooperation with HWPL in establishing peace and promoting that Mindanao region is no longer an island of conflicts but of peace.
To celebrate this memorable event, Chairman Lee gave a speech on the ‘Declaration of word Peace’ and the peace and harmony in Mindanao. His peace message inspired Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, Chairman of MILF and Esmael G. Mangudadatu, Governor of Maguindanao as well as around 10,000 audience including members of Mindanao Allinace For Peace (MAP) and 30 more youth group’s leaders.
Meanwhile, Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL and the HWPL Peace Delegation have had peace tours for 23 times to spread peace activities and encourage people to participate in their activities for world peace., HWPL WARP Offices and enacting the international law convention for cessation of wars are considered as the solutions for bringing peace to our globe.
Recently, the Monument to the Declaration of World Peace has been erected globally, in 6 different countries including Korea where HWPL has its headquarter, South Africa, India, and El Salvador. The monument is a memorial of the World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Summit (September 2014) and it represents the promise to cooperate with HWPL for world peace.
