Huawei enters Nigerian market with entry level phones

-

“Having successfully launched the Ascend Mate 7 late last year, we’re excited to launch the Huawei Y3 – a powerful more accessible entry range Huawei smartphone – to the Nigerian marketplace. Able to leverage all the capabilities of the existing mobile networks, the Y3 offers our customers a choice of smartphone developed by Huawei, one of the world’s strongest pedigrees in mobile telephony today.

The Huawei Y3 is a stylish dual sim android smartphone with an elegant matte finish, flawless curve design, and single hand control. It sports a 4.0-inch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 16M colours, and an LCD WVGA screen display screen coated with scratch-resistant glass. It runs on Google’s Android Operating System – 4.4 Kit Kat – on a 1.3 GHz Quad-Core Processor. It also provides 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM.

The handset is equipped with a 5MP rear and 2MP front camera with Dual LED flash, autofocus and Geo-tagging. A front camera is also provided for crisp video calling, making the Y3 as versatile as any offering from Huawei’s competitors. Voice command capabilities on the Y3 lets users make calls and compose text messages hands-free.

At just 11.2mm thin, the Y3 weighs 130g, yet manages to pack many other key features such as 3G Network Support, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB v2.0, GPS, FM Radio, Wi-Fi hotspot, DLNA, Accelerometer, HTML browser, SNS integration and a 1730mAh battery with power saving technology. Given the phone’s configuration, the battery is expected to deliver up to 2 days of battery-life with moderate use.

Offered in a simple yet fashionable design, the HUAWEI Y3 comes in 6 exciting colours – in other words, there is definitely a choice for everyone!

While Huawei Y3 sits firmly as an mid-range mobile phone, it comes packed with strong high-end credentials. And while it will cost much less than the flagship phones of Huawei’s main competitors, it pushes the boundary on value delivery given its relatively lower price tag.

As it finally arrives Nigeria, we anticipate that like other recent Huawei products, Huawei Y3 will indeed be a pleasant surprise for prospective owners.
