Obi made the disclosure during a live interview on Channels TV, while scrutinizing the ruling party’s (All Progressives Congress) performance.

His words: “This APC government has for long formulated different, beautiful policies, but the problem is with implementation.

“The Atiku government will concentrate on project implementation to a measurable level Nigerians will see, feel and appreciate.”

On how many megawatts of power (electricity) Atiku government would add, Obi, who insisted that four years was enough for meaningful improvement in the sector, pointed out that there was a clear roadmap that would be discussed in details during longer programmes.

Obi, who heavily criticized the present government for its lack of proper projects’ implementation and transparency, said that the quantum of money already said to have been borrowed did not match the projects that were actually executed.

He, however, pointed out that the problem was not with borrowing, but actually utilizing the money borrowed for productive projects rather than in consumption and waste, as rampantly witnessed in Nigeria till today.

According to him, “To get Nigeria working again, the inefficiency, incompetence, and anti-people policies that have long characterized the APC-led government of Nigeria must be reversed.”

Meanwhile, Obi has said that what Nigeria needed now was a team with firm understanding of global economic realities to plan the re-engineering of the country along those realities.

Obi was speaking at Isuofia in the House of  Chief Ozomma Uba during  the stakeholders meeting of Aguata people.

Obi assured that Atiku/ Obi candidacy has the requisite knowledge to turn the economy round, creat jobs and tackle unemployment, which, according to him,  is the roots of many crimes in the country.

Also at the event, the Managing Director of Pokobros Nig Limitedd and a renowned industrialist, Chief Paul Okonkwo, said that the election of  Atiku and Obi would mark the beginning of Nigeria’s economic rebirth, going by their antecedent of  wealth-creation and sound management of resources.

Recalling Obi’s  tenure as the Governor of Anambra State, Okonkwo said: “Obi’s era marked the awakening of industrialization in the state.

“As an industrialist, we interacted with him on regular basis, he understood what the sector needed and gave it 100% support. We are optimistic that he will do more for Nigeria if he eventually becomes the Vice President.”

Other prominent stakeholders from Aguata who were present included Chief Godwin Okafor, the MD of Winco Foam; Chief Uche Obiakor, Chief Patrick Ifionu2; Chief Emma Nwafor, among others. They assured Obi of their support.
