Hadassah Foundation holds healing conference

-

On Saturday, September 20, women from all walks life will gather at The Haven Events Centre, Oba Akinjobi Way, Ikeja, for Hadassah Healing Conference 2014 with the theme, ‘Awesome Glory’.
Pastor Adenike Lamai, president and brain behind Hadassah Healing Foundation (HHF), will minister to the sick, wounded souls, and other specific needs of those that will attend.
Since 2005, HHF has been organising one major conference annually with the aim of reaching out to women. At these meetings, their specific needs are identified and steps are taken to attend to them accordingly. The Foundation also reaches out through counselling, visitation to brothels and prisons, and provision of general welfare packages such as medical support, provision of foodstuff and welfare allowance, for some of these women.
Pastor Lamai stated that attendees should expect extraordinary, breathtaking never-seen-before kind of touch from God.
As part of this year’s activities, the Hadassah Foundation team, under the Community Outreach programme, visited nine communities: Ilaje, Ijora, Ogijo, Odogunyan, Abule Iroko, Akute, Ibeju, Ikorodu and Ajegunle Owode.
The aim was to empower the women by teaching them basket weaving, catering, tailoring, make-over and traditional marriage compering.
This year, about 2,000 women benefitted, while 200 ambassadors have been selected to be given further assistance in setting up a trade.
On how she raises funds to execute these projects, Lamai said: “The Foundation is blessed to have over 100 men and women that are passionate about women with varying interests. Some support with money, while others support with materials.”
HHF, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), which started in 2005, is with a mandate to reach out to the down-trodden women all over the world irrespective of their colour, race or religion.
