Hadassah conference 2015 inspires from glory to glory

-

It was an awesome experience for the over 6,000 attendees at the 2015 Hadassah healing conference, writes TEMITOPE OJO.

Thousands who thronged the gymnasium hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos for the 2015 Hadassah healing conference will not forget it in a hurry.

Even an early morning heavy downpour could not deter men and women who came from far and wide to experience the move of God among His people.

By 8am, shuttle buses conveying delegates from different parts of Lagos began arriving, with many expectant of what God would do this year. By 10am when the programme began in earnest, the indoor hall was filled to the brim.

In Lagos, delegates came from Ijora, Ajegunle, Apapa, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos Island, Ikorodu, Ikotun, and Akute.

From outside Lagos, they came from Oyo, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Edo, and Delta States.

From outside Nigerian shores, they came from the United States of America.

The testimonies of last year’s event were enormous in their lives and so they could not afford to miss this years’ edition.

The event began with a 30-minute praise worship followed by the choir rendering the famous Hallelujah Chorus.

Next was the welcome tagged “parade of nations” by “representatives” of various countries.

Women dressed in traditional attires and carried the flags of Mexico, Scotland, Saudi Arabia, Romania, South Africa,The Philippines, Ghana, and Egypt.

Those dressed in Hausa, Yoruba, Ibo, Efik, and Edo attires represented Nigeria.

This was followed by the singing of Nigeria’s national anthem.

Awards were presented to some outstanding community heads and assistants.

For their contribution to community development, Faith Lamai, Bukola Fagbemi, Pelumi Adeigbe, Folasade Adeyemi, Olawunmi Adetula, Efe Ibuzor, Agnes Omoigo, and Ngozi Okoye received plaques.

Marvelous Lamai was given exceptional leadership award.

The wife of Lagos State Governor, Bolanle Ambode, commended Hadassah Foundation for fighting the cause of women, especially widows.

She said the activities of the foundation calls for soul searching by other well-meaning Nigerians to reduce unemployment and poverty.

“Everywhere we go, we see children, youths and women who are unaware of how and where the next meal will come from seeking for help. They all need our help in the area of provision of food, shelter, funding of school fees and vocational training skills,” Ambode added.

“This calls for soul searching as regards helping those who don’t have. Don’t look the other way when you are satisfied. Resolve within you to care and cater for these class of people within our societies.

“This way, we will succeed in wiping off their tears and in turn restore smiles on their faces. Remember, even when no one is watching, God is and he is a rewarder.”

Hadassah Foundation President, Adenike Lamai, a Pastor, congratulated the attendees because, according to her, God had good news for them.

She said there would be divine visitation of the Holy Spirit, diverse healings and miracles, destruction of ancient altars, spiritual earthquakes, graves would burst open, wickedness of the enemy would end, a new order of trans-generational blessing would be transferred, and speed would be released.

Lamai said God’s dealing with the foundation of His children is important if we are to move from glory to glory, insisting that one can be anointed and be broke financially.

She quoted 2 Kings 4:1, “The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, ‘Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the LORD. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.’”

If you are blessed spiritually, she stressed, it should be a total package but a lot of things deter children of God from this.

“You can quote the Scriptures but if you don’t have the revelation of revelations, you can remain broke just like the man who feared the Lord but after he died, his creditors were coming to take his two boys as slaves.

“The prophet was broke because there were fundamental issues that were being swept under the carpet. God cannot bless a man that cannot be blessed.”

Lamai said Africans inherited altars from their forefathers who might have dedicated to these altars out of ignorance.

“Until we severe from these evil altars, the children of God may not prosper. God is a God that visits the judgment of the father on his children, even upon generations unborn.”

She added Exodus 34:7: “Maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.”

For this blessing of God to manifest, Lamai said ancient altars must be set on fire as no one can activate the blessing of God with inherited baggage.

“Place a demand on God. The solution is in the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus. This is stated in Col 2:14, ‘having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.’

“Christianity without the cross is no Christianity. That is where we gained access to the God. The cross is an exchange point for us. The cross came that we might have life. The devil cannot stand the cross because that was where he was defeated.”

Lamai said the righteous can pray, worship, and sing praises unto God – and just as Jesus Christ said on the cross, ‘“it is finished’, ancient altars will be destroyed and our glory will radiate His glory.”

After the sermon, many received salvation and all got a Bible gift from her.

Some gave amazing and inspiring testimonies.

Joy Christian said her bareness of many years was terminated after Lamai ministered to her. She came with her new born baby as proof.

One who identified herself simply as Angy narrated that her frequent urination and fibroid disappeared.

Rachel Akinsayo, who attended last year’s event with a troubled heart after just going through a divorce and her landlord gave a quit notice, testified that her story has changed dramatically.

Before the conference, the Hadassah Foundation outreach team visited 10 communities in Lagos and Ogun empowering women, teaching them skills in basket weaving, makeup artistry, headgear tying, soap making, confectioneries and tie and dye.

Many of the women who had thought they could not start a small business until they had millions in their account were taught how to start small and grow.

So far, the foundation has visited 27 communities with over 7,000 beneficiaries.

The 178 ambassadors were presented at the conference.

Hadassah is Hebrew for Esther (Esther 2:7).

Hadassah Healing Foundation was founded in 2005.

Lamai explained that it has a vision given by God, and is registered as a non governmental organisation with a mandate to reach out to women all over the world regardless of colour, race or religion, preaching a Gospel of hope in Christ Jesus and a strong believe in miracles.

The foundation operates through conference, counseling, rehabilitation, empowerment, visiting prisons and brothels, and offering women general welfare such as medicals, foodstuff, living allowance, and personal needs.

With every community outreach, women are taught skills that can yield income for them; in prison outreach, female inmates get provisions and are prepared for the real world.

Recently, Hadassah Healing Foundation and Optimal Cancer Care Foundation took free cancer screening to female inmates of Kirikiri Prisons, Lagos.

They screened almost half of the female inmates and treated free with cryotherapy and antibiotics all women who tested positive for HPV/CIN.
