Omotosho was on his way to his hometown, Imesi-Ekiti, when he was ambushed and taken into the bush
Some unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the Ekiti State chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Paul Omotosho.
The incident occurred on Saturday evening along Agbado – Imesi-Ekiti road in Gbonyin Local Government Area of the state.
A source, who confirmed the abduction, said Omotosho, who is from Imesi-Ekiti, was on his way to his hometown when the gunmen ambushed his vehicle and took him into the bush.

Also speaking on the incident, the state APC Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, said the chairman was alone in his car when the gunmen kidnapped him.
“The chairman was driving in a Venza car along the road when the bandit shot at one of the tyres of the car. He was taken into a Toyota Hilus van and driven off. He was alone in the car when the incident happened, according to the information we have.
“It happened in the evening, we got the information at about 6 pm. The security agencies police and Amotekun – have been alerted, and they are all working on it,” Dipe said.
However, when contacted, the Ekiti State command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Sunday Abutu, said he was yet to be briefed.
