Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has urged talented Belgian midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne to be “honest with himself”, when making a decision on his future with the English Premier League (EPL) champions.

De Bruyne will be out of contract with the Citizens at the end of this season and he has been given him the opportunity to decide his next move after a decade at the Etihad.

The 33-year-old was left on the bench for the 5-1 defeat at Arsenal and didn’t play a minute during the UEFA Champions League (UCL) return leg at Real Madrid last week.

Again, his performance as Man City lost 2-0 against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday attracted criticism and suggestions that his body can’t cope with the Premier League’s demands.

Speaking on the development, Guardiola said: “I think in that situation he has to decide, that is the most important thing.

“He’s completely honest with himself, to decide what he feels and what he can do in the next period of his life.
