Manchester City gaffer, Pep Guardiola has hailed legendary Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson after beating Liverpool to the Premier League title on Sunday.
The Citizens won their fourth league title in five consecutive seasons and ended Liverpool’s unprecedented quadruple dream on Sunday.
Guardiola, having recognised that only Manchester United, under Alex Ferguson, had achieved a similar feat in the past, acknowledged his technical prowess and praised the 80-year-old.
According to Guardiola, he realised it was a very difficult thing to win the English topflight back to back and dominate the league as United did under Ferguson.

Ilkay Gundogan came off the City bench to provide an incredible 3-2 comeback to secure the Premier League title for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Goals from the German and Rodri completed the six-minute comeback against a hard fighting Aston Villa who had a Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard as their coach.
Liverpool ended up finishing the league season on 92 points, just one adrift of Manchester City.
Speaking during his post-match press conference, Pep Guardiola said, “Just Sir Alex Ferguson with United has done it years ago two or three times – now again I realise the magnitude of Sir Alex Ferguson and his United doing this – and we are part of that. In one year, we will defend our crown.”
