A win for Man City in the encounter will see them open a four-point gap before the Gunners play Brighton at the Emirates two and a half hours later.
Everton on the other hand, who are just 2 points above the relegation zone, will welcome three precious points which will drag them closer to safety.
When asked about Everton’s chances of winning the fixture, Guardiola said: “There were big results in the Premier League but we thought in the last games everyone plays for something and will be tough. It can happen.
“They scored the first goal in the first minute (during their 5-1 win over the Seagulls), a surprise for the two early goals, the physicality Everton have is really, really good. Anything can happen.”
