Dan-Dahida said the continuous killings of innocent people in the area under any guise was threatening the unity of the state and should be resisted by all well meaning people of the state.

“We call on all stakeholders to urgently ensure an end to the unprovoked killings of innocent people in Takum Local Government Area of the state,” he said.

He commended the Acting Governor of the state, Alhaji Abubakar Danladi, for promptly sending security agents to the area to bring the situation under control.

The chairman, however, urged him to deploy more security personnel to the area to guarantee safety of lives and property.

He also appealed to the people of the state to eschew violence to enable the Governor-elect, Mr Darius Ishaku, to start governing the state in a peaceful atmosphere. (NAN)
