France and Atlético Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has applauded Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman after his impressive start to life at the La Liga club.
He lauded the Nigerian international on Thursday night after he helped the Rojiblancos thrash Real Betis 5-0 in the quarter-final of the Copa del Rey.

Lookman, who made his maiden appearance after joining Atlético during the January transfer window from Atalanta, scored and registered an assist during the encounter.

The 28-year-old forward netted the third goal for Diego Simeone’s side in the 37th minute of the game and teed up Griezmann for the fourth.
He was, however, substituted by the coach after 79 minutes of action on his debut.
Speaking after the match, Griezmann said it was important for the winger to have a winning debut with the team.
“Regarding Lookman, the idea is to enjoy the new players and let them give us nights of joy like this one,” the Frenchman said.
