Taraba State governor, Agbu Kefas has lost his younger sister, Atsi, who succumbed to the gunshot wounds she sustained during an attack in Kente village, Wukari local government council of the state.
TheNiche learnt the 44-year-old died at a private hospital in Abuja, where she had been receiving treatment since the incident.
The deceased was in a vehicle with Jummai, the mother of Gov Kefas when the incident occurred in Wukari.

Confirming her demise via a text, Timothy Kataps, secretary to the state government of Taraba wrote, “Unfortunately, it is true, may her soul rest in peace,”
Meanwhile, there are conflicting reports as to what actually transpired during the attack that led to her death.
While some sources claim it was the result of a bandit attack, others suggest it may have been caused by an accidental discharge from a security operative travelling with her.
However, the Taraba State Police Command through its spokesperson Usman Abdullahi, said it was an armed robbery incident.
