Giwa FC failed to honour its Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) tie against Wikki Tourists in Ilorin and risks demotion to the lower league if it misses another.
Articles 13.27 and 13.28 of the League Management Company (LMC) say missing three matches cumulatively without an acceptable reason results in expulsion from the top flight, and the annulling of the team’s results to date.
