Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, has assured that his administration would continue to sponsor more Yobe students to study in institutions of higher learning both within and outside the country.
The governor spoke before the commencement of the weekly State Executive Council meeting Wednesday. Education Commissioner, Alhaji Muhammad Lamin, used the forum and handed him an award of excellence which was awarded to him by the National Union of Yobe State Students (NUYOSS) for his effort in moving Yobe’s educational sector forward. Lamin represented the Governor at the award ceremony and accepted the award on his behalf.
Gaidam said that his administration would remain true to its commitment to students through regular payment of their scholarship allowances.
