Gabriel Jesus appreciates fans for support after picking up injury

Gabriel Jesus got injured in Brazil’s match against Cameroon at the World Cup and will require surgery to correct the problem

Arsenal and Brazil striker, Gabriel Jesus has appreciated his fans for standing by him and sending messages of support after his latest injury while on international duty.

The striker picked up the injury during Brazil’s third group game against Cameroon at the World Cup and will now require surgery to correct the problem after it was discovered to be worse than first feared.

Gabriel Jesus was signed by North London club, Arsenal, from Premier League champions, Manchester City during the summer and since then has been a great addition and a key man for the Gunners.

The team was built around his attacking play and movements, so his injury will come as a huge blow to Arsenal, who are currently at the summit of the English top league. 

However, despite the setback, the Brazil international remains upbeat and hopes to be back to play for club and country soon and revealed this in a recent Instagram post.

He wrote, “If there was a timeline and I could see you and tell you something, I would say “Gabriel, you are a winner”. Thanks to all who sent messages of support and love!”
