The Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna Governing Council has approved the appointment of Professor Abdullahi Bala of the Department of Soil Science and Land Management, School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology (SAAT) as the seventh substantive Vice-Chancellor of the citadel.
Bala is to take over from Professor Musbau Akanji, whose second term tenure ends in November, 2017.
The appointment was approved at the Councils’ 125th Special Council meeting Tuesday, September 12, 2017 after due considerations and recommendation of the selection committee.
Bala’s tenure starts on Sunday December 3, 2017, as contained in a letter by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor Femi Odekunle.
