Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has advised parents who enrolled their kids in Dowen College and other schools with boarding house facilities to take away their kids from such institutions.
According to DAILY POST, the chairman and board members of Dowen College stepped down on Friday, weeks after the police absolved the five students linked to the death of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni of wrongdoing.

The school thereafter told the public that they are reviewing their policies to ensure better and stricter measures are in place to keep students safe and forestall a repeat of the unfortunate incident, which resulted in the student’s death in the future.
The 40-year-old actress, while responding to the claim by the school, posted a picture of Dowen College building, and urged parents who are yet to withdraw their kids from the school to do so, saying she is worried about the safety of children in boarding schools in the country.
She wrote: “I hope all parents have withdrawn their children from the school.
“ I’m so worried for children in boarding schools. A lot goes on there.”
