Fulham scored in the 32nd and 72nd minutes through Aleksandar Mitrovic but goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah restore parity twice for the Reds

Newly promoted Fulham started on a brilliant note after forcing Premier League’s power house, Liverpool, to a 2-2 draw in their first encounter of the season at Craven Cottage.
The Reds had the bulk of the ball possession in the first half but there was little goal-mouth action, as the host’s rear guard remained resolute despite the domination of their more illustrious opponent.
Fulham eventually opened the scoring in the 32nd minute after Aleksandar Mitrovic lashed on to a beautiful cross from Kenny Tete to give the home side a 1-0 lead against Liverpool.
Luis Diaz had a goal ruled out for offside at 0-0 before curling a shot against the post after Fulham had taken the lead.

Liverpool piled up pressure after the resumption and were duly rewarded when the Uruguayan striker, Darwin Nunez restored parity in the 64th minute after an assist from Mohamed Salah.
However, Fulham took the lead again in the 72nd minute after Aleksandar Mitrovic scored his brace from the spot kick after the referee adjudged he was brought down by Virgil van Dijk.
Mohamed Salah equalised for Liverpool once again in the 80th minute after a cross from Alexander-Arnold was poorly defended by Fulham.
Although the game ended in a disappointing draw for Liverpool, Klopp will be pleased with the fact that Nunez came off the bench to score one and create another as Liverpool twice came from behind to salvage a point.
