Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara will know if he will continue as the number one citizen of the state after an Appeal Court sitting in Lagos State delivers judgment on the governorship election petition filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Patrick Tonye-Cole, today.

The APC candidate approached the appellate court after Governor Fubara of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who was declared the winner of the contest by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) got an affirmation of his victory by the state election tribunal.

Cole wants the court to direct INEC to declare him the winner of the March governorship election in Rivers.

He insists that Fubara was still signing documents as Accountant-General of the State even after his nomination as the governorship candidate of the PDP.

He also alleged irregularities in the election, amongst other pleas.
