Rangers narrowly missed the opportunity to lift the Europa League trophy after an agonising 4-5 penalty shootout defeat against German outfit, Eintracht Frankfurt
The two teams were unable to breach each other’s defence in the first half, as the half ended without a goal.
The Scottish side opened the scoring in the 57th minute when a misjudged header from Djibril Sow and chasing defender Tuta, put Joe Aribo through to beat the diving goalkeeper.

Frankfurt equalised in the 68th minute after Filip Kostic drilled in a cross from the left and Connor Goldson let it run by him, allowing Rafael Borre to ram the ball home from six yards.
The match then ended 1-1 after 90 minutes, but the two teams could not be separated after the referee added 30 minutes of extra time, making penalty kicks inevitable.
Rafael Borre scored the decisive spot kick after Aaron Ramsey was denied just moments earlier in front of a colossal Rangers support in the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
It would be the only miss of the shootout, as Rangers’ marathon run in Europe this season, came to the most painful end.
