Former Super Falcons’ coach, Ntierro, dies

Former Head Coach of Super Falcons of Nigeria, Ntierro Effiom is dead.

 

The former coach of the senior national women team died on Tuesday, September 9 after complaining of slight headache.

 
He was in Calabar last weekend before he travelled to his home town, it was there the incident happened.

He was the Super Falcons coach to the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The Super Falcons failed to qualify from their Group B for the second round of the World Cup after losing 2-0 to North Korea in the first group match and drew 1-1 with Sweden in the second before losing 1-0 to US in the last group match.
