Former Apostolic Faith Regional Overseer, Rev. Michael Ajayi clocks 90

It has been congratulations galore for the former Regional Overseer of Ondo and Ekiti State of the Apostolic Faith Church, Rev. Michael Adebayo Ajayi on Wednesday clocked 90 years old.
Rev. Ajayi who hails from Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State celebrated the birthday with the theme ‘Thus far the Lord has helped me.’ The theme was taken from 1Samuel 7:12
Speaking, one of his children, Mr Toyin Ajayi said: “Today is a joyous occasion for my father, Rev. Michael Adebayo Ajayi, I wish him a happy 90th birthday, and I prayed that the Almighty God will grant Baba long life and more strength to continue to be a role model to the body of Christ.”
Other children in their speeches described their father, Baba Ajayi as a great man of God and an epitome of humility and brave army of God.
Rev. Ajayi joined Apostolic Faith Church in August 1971 and Retired in August 2013 as Regional Overseer, Ado Ekiti Region.
In his sermon, the Area Overseer of Ekiti State, Rev. Oba Fatoba said Pa Michael Adebayo Ajayi has distinguished himself as one of the most revered clerics in Nigeria’s Christendom saying that he is an educationist to the core.
Fatoba who quoted from the Holy Bible in Genesis 47:1-10 said Baba is a father figure to millions of people across the country due to his virtues of honesty, peace, patience, contentment, humility and diligence.
According to him, Baba Ajayi is no doubt a man of many parts. His simple life of transparency, openness, truth and grace make him one outstanding personality worthy of reference.
Fatoba prayed that May God grace over his life multiply, and may his influence for God Kingdom continue to grow beyond measure.
However, the Celebrant, Rev. Michael Ajayi while speaking said “I can’t believe it,” referring to his age (90 years). It is a grace of God.”
He thanked everyone that grace the occasion.
