The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have been eliminated from the ongoing 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, following a 1-0 defeat to Korea Republic on Sunday night.
Ladan Bosso kept the same line-up that began the impressive 2-0 victory over the hosts, Argentina in the Round of sixteen of the competition in the match.
However, the Nigerian boys were unable to display the explosive performance they showed in the previous games.

They remained in control in the second half of the encounter, dominating ball possession and creating more scoring opportunities but failed to find the back of the net in regulation time
It was the Koreans who grabbed the winner through Seok-Hyun Choi in the 95th minute.
Despite a late rally, the Flying Eagles could not get an equalizer as Korea remained resolute at the back.
With the win, the Asian progressed to the semi-final of the competition and will now face Italy on Thursday.
