Fire has broken out at the personal residence of the outgoing governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, leaving several of his cows dead.
Ganduje’s house is located at Miyangu Street in Nasarawa GRA, Kano.
The State Fire Service confirmed the incident to reporters on Thursday, saying it occurred on Monday night.

It was gathered that the fire started at a place where Ganduje rears cows. The governor reportedly lost some of his property in the incident.
A source said the cause of the fire was not immediately known but it started during the course of metal welding in the house as part of renovations ahead of Ganduje’s departure from the governor’s official residence.
When contacted, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Abba Anwar declined to comment, reports PUNCH.
