Fintiri further claimed that the major opposition party is building to “lead Nigeria forward.”

Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is rebuilding into a robust, united, and focused party, despite losing prominent members to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He made this known on Thursday evening in a post he shared on his official X page, after inspecting the venue of an event scheduled for November 15.
Earlier in the week, the PDP was hit by a gale of defections as many influential members exited the party.
Those who reportedly left included Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, and his Bayelsa counterpart, Douye Diri, who both moved to the APC.

Prior to this, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, and other notable members of the PDP had moved to the ADC.
Despite this, Fintiri insisted his party is building a party that will “lead Nigeria forward.”
Speaking via his verified social media handle, he said, “Today, I led the PDP National Convention Organising Committee Executive to Ibadan, Oyo State, to assess preparations for our forthcoming Ibadan 2025 Convention.
“Governor Seyi Makinde’s efforts reflect excellence and readiness. We’re building a stronger PDP—united, focused, and prepared to lead Nigeria forward.”
