Ferdinand believes Casemiro has the edge over Thomas Partey when defending, he, however, picked the Ghanaian ahead of the Brazilian going forward

Former Manchester defender, Rio Ferdinand, has joined the debate on who is the better player between Arsenal’s Thomas Partey and Manchester United’s Casemiro.
The two midfielders whose services were secured by the two Premier League clubs from the two Madrid giants, have been incredible this season for their respective club sides.
And given their contributions to their clubs this season, Partey and Casemiro will certainly be strong contenders for a place in the English Premier League team of the season.

Ferdinand while discussing on “VIBE with FIVE” podcast, heaped praises on both midfielders but believes that there is a clear winner between the two players.
“He [Thomas Partey] is actually playing some passes I didn’t know he had. At Atletico Madrid, did you see those passes? In the Champions League?
“In terms of who is more important to their team, you can argue for both sides. But when you throw the stats in, Casemiro wipes the floor with him.
“I don’t think Partey is good enough defensively to do what Casemiro is doing. I don’t think he has the impact to do defensively what Casemiro is doing for Man United.
“On the ball, he is doing more. He is dictating play for Arsenal man, controlling tempos.” the United legend said.
