Although the casualty figure is yet to be ascertained, another bomb blast has been reported in kano with not less than four people buying kerosene at the station at the time involved.
The latest bomb incident in the commercial city, coming less than 24 hours after a bomb explosion killed at least five people in Kano State, occurred near an NNPC mega station at Hotoro Quarters today.
Said to be along Maiduguri Road, officials of the Nigerian Police confirmed the explosion via its twitter page, advising residents to stay clear of the scene of the unfortunate incident which is the fourth in kano in the last 24 hours.
A police bulletin issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, stated that three people died on the spot while some 8 others were injured in the latest blast. Mba said the intention of the bomber was to ignite the gas station as planned, a situation that would have clearly led to many more deaths and injuries.
