The Main Organising Committee (MOC) of the 2015 FCT Principal Cup has fixed Tuesday, October 6, 2015 for the draws of the competition, billed to commence on Monday, October 12.
According to the Chairman of the MOC, Patrick Ngwaogu, the draws would be held at the main auditorium of the Government Secondary School, Tudunwada- Wuse, Abuja.
He said: “The MOC has fixed October 6 for the draws of the 2015 FCT Principals Cup. The draws would be preceded by a seminar for all the Games Masters and Coaches of the participating schools.
“At the seminar, we would be able to interact with the games masters and coaches who have a major role to play in the competition.
“They would be introduced to the rules of competition, and some of the basic laws of the game of football. We are aiming at a perfect competition, which everyone would be proud off in the future”.
Continuing, Ngwaogu who is also the Vice Chairman of the FCT FA said the unveiling of mascot for the competition would be held on October 8 at the same.
“We would unveil the mascot of the competition on October 8 at the Government Secondary School Tundunwada Wuse Abuja.
“It is heartwarming to note that the numbers of entries we received for the logo and mascot was unprecedented.
“We had about 140 entries from students in various schools in FCT, and this has shown that the awareness for the competition is very high.
“Also on that day, we would unveil all the sponsors and those who have agreed to partner with us in driving this laudable idea home.
“So far, 65 schools have signified interest to participate in the competition, and we are expecting to have more before the draws which would mark the end of entries” he concluded.
