Fayose approves secondary school for Ilemeso Ekit

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has approved a secondary school for Ilemeso Ekiti, Oye Local Government Area of the state.

The secondary, which is the first in the history of the town, is to be known as Ilemeso Community High School.

Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Jide Egunjobi, disclosed this on Thursday, at the Palace of Obadu of Ilemeso Ekiti, Oba David Oyewumi after inspecting the temporary and permanent sites of the secondary school.

He said that the school would begin operation January 2018.  Ilemeso Ekiti is about 7km to Isan-Ekiti, the hometown of former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, and most pupils from the town trek to Isan-Ekiti to attend secondary school while others have relocated to neighbouring towns like Itaji-Ekiti and Aiyede Ekiti for secondary education.

The commissioner and his team visited the temporary site within the Community Primary School and the permanent site, which has just been cleared.  Egunjobi advised the community to demarcate the schools and secure the staff quarters, assuring that work would start at the permanent site.

The commissioner also implored them to continue supporting the government of Ayodele Fayose and his continuity agenda.

Responding, the Obadu of Ilemeso, Oba David Oyewumi Gboyega, appreciated the Commissioner and his team for the inspection. He promised that the community would continue to support the Government of Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The monarch said that all materials needed for the take-off in January were already available.

In the entourage of the commissioner were the Permanent Secretary, Dr Adekunbi Obaisi, Director of Schools, Mr. Alani Daramola, Director Planning (TSC), Mr Femi Famodimu, AEO, & ES Oye LG.
