Farke hails ‘deserved’ 3-1 win over Chelsea

Leeds United manager, Daniel Farke praised his team after their 3-1 victory over Chelsea, stating that his side “deserved” the crucial win.

​Speaking to the BBC after the match, Farke celebrated the performance that saw Leeds United defeat the West London side in the Premier League fixture played at Elland Road on Wednesday night.

​Goals from Crysencio Summerville, Mateo Joseph, and Georginio Rutter secured the 3-1 win for Leeds United.

​Farke attributed the victory over Enzo Maresca’s side to a “great performance” from his lads.

​He said, “We were so desperate to bring this club back to the top level, and Elland Road was back to its best.

​“A great, great shift from my lads, great performance against one of the best sides in the world.

​“They won the [Club] World Cup in the summer, they are one of the contenders for the Premier League title, and then to win this game, also in this manner, and I would also say deserved by chances, expected goals, shots, shots on target.”

​The victory took Leeds out of the relegation zone, while Chelsea dropped to 4th position on the league table.
