Rapper Falz (Folarin Falana) says he is contemplating marriage but unsure how to handle the public glare that comes with celebrity marriage, one of the reasons he is still single at 33.

Falze is a lawyer by education, the son of Femi and Funmi Falana, both of whom are Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs).

His mother recently warned him to stay away from the curse of baby mamas on celebrities as he can easily choose to have a proper marriage, have children, and bring them up in the normal family setting.

However, admitted back in 2022 that he had never been in love – despite the bevy of single celebrity women looking for husbands, from Tems and Ayra Starr to Phyna in Nigeria, and plenty others across the world in and around his social class.

A middle class background combined with university education, good looks, riches, and popularity makes Falz an ideal husband material for ladies, particularly Nigerian women who are generally materialistic.

But the guy disclosed in a recent episode of the Unpack podcast that he is not sure of what an ideal marriage would look like, whether to publicise his future marital life or keep in private.

“I’m not married. I have been single for a while now. Maybe I should just try marriage. I don’t know the ideal relationship. Maybe that is one of the reasons I am not bothered to try. When I say I am bothered, I don’t know what the ideal setup would look like.

“Being an artiste, being in the public eye, is it going to be public or coded? Or do you want to come out as a famous couple? I think these things are difficult to navigate.

“This is one of the biggest reasons entertainers do not get to have healthy family life. It is tough. It will always come out one way or the other. I might do it and run it coded.”
