“You cannot be addressing income inequality in a country while handing over the nation’s resources to a few people in the name of privatisation.

“Most Nigerians cannot afford three square meals a day.

“The middle class has been wiped out by the neoliberal policies of the government.

“It is in the interest of the government to review its policies as soon as possible” – Falana.

Human rights activist Femi Falana, SAN has reiterated that “most Nigerians cannot afford three square meals a day” and the middle class (comprising people who are not very rich nor very poor) has also been wiped out under Bola Tinubu’s mismanagement of the economy.

Falana, speaking on Channels Television, questioned Tinubu’s economic reforms, noting that his “harsh neoliberal policies” have only raised poverty levels as the President has handed national resources to a few people, among them his relatives, cronies, and hangers on, leading to huge income inequality in the country.

Said he: “You cannot be addressing income inequality in a country while handing over the nation’s resources to a few people in the name of privatisation.

“Most Nigerians cannot afford three square meals a day.

“The middle class has been wiped out by the neoliberal policies of the government.

“It is in the interest of the government to review its policies as soon as possible.”
