Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), has frowned at the way the Federal Government handled the cases involving ace Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, aka KWAM1, and Ibom Air female passenger, Comfort Emmanson.
According to him, the government withdrew the case against the female passenger because it didn’t want to slam KWAM1 with appropriate criminal charges.
Falana, made this known in a statement he issued on Wednesday.

He added that with the decision, the government has lost the moral right to prosecute any unruly passenger who commits an offence at any of the nation’s airports.
The activist also lamented that the government hastily accepted KWAM1’s apology and granted him pardon without allowing the police to conclude its investigation.
“Since citizens have equal rights, obligations, and opportunities before the law, the Federal Government will henceforth be accused of subjecting any unruly passenger to discriminatory treatment on the ground that KWAM 1 was ‘pardoned’ without any criminal trial whatsoever,” Falana said.
KWAM1 was recently accused of breaching protocol at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
