The English league Football Association (FA) are investigating league leaders, Arsenal, following the elaborate celebrations of their dramatic comeback win against Bournemouth last Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s men went two goals down to the relegation-threatened side after an hour at the Emirates Stadium, with goals from Billing and Senesi in the 1st and 57th minutes respectively putting the visitors in the driving seat.

However, the Gunners fought back thanks to goals from Thomas Partey, Benjamin White and Reiss Nelson to claim the maximum three points at stake in the encounter.

Nelson’s last-gasp winner sparked chaotic scenes, with members of the Arsenal coaching staff and substitutes running onto the pitch to join in the celebrations before the game was restarted.

It has now emerged that referee Chris Kavanagh included the incident in his post-match report which he submitted to the FA.

After receiving the report, the English game’s governing body is now looking into what happened as a matter of course and may be sanctioning the north London club for pitch invasion.

Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League log table leading their closest rivals, Manchester City with 5 points after playing 26 matches.
