Ex-Regional Overseer of Apostolic Faith Church, Elder Ajayi, passes on at 90

The Apostolic Faith Church family and the Christian community have been thrown into mourning following the passing of Elder (Rev.) Michael Adebayo Ajayi, JP, a former Regional Overseer of Ondo and Ekiti States.
Rev. Ajayi, a revered servant of God and teacher of the Word, peacefully departed this world in the early hours of Thursday, August 28, 2025, at exactly 9:49 a.m., at the blessed age of 90 years.
In a statement issued on behalf of the family by Dr. Toyin Ajayi, Proprietor of Preston International School, Akure, the family expressed gratitude to God for a life wholly dedicated to service in His vineyard.
“With gratitude to God for a life well spent in His Service, our father, Elder (Rev.) Michael Adebayo Ajayi, JP, who was born on the 26th of March 1935, took his homeward flight on Thursday, 28th August 2025, aged 90 years. Though heartbroken, we have more than a thousand reasons to give God the glory for a victorious life. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Good night, Dad.”
Rev. Ajayi was not only a shepherd of souls but also a spiritual pillar, mentor, and father figure to many across Ondo, Ekiti, and beyond. He devoted decades of his life to advancing the gospel, strengthening the Apostolic Faith Church, and raising countless disciples through his unwavering faith, humility, and integrity.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dr. Mrs. Dorcas Ajayi, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who continue to uphold his legacy of faith and service.
